Revealing the 10 finalists of the 6th De Men Children's Award

Among them, there is one children's author and one author with two works selected. This year's Jury is chaired by poet Tran Dang Khoa - Vice President of the Vietnam Writers Association . After two preliminary and scoring rounds, from 97 works submitted from the beginning of 2024 to April 2025, the Council selected 10 outstanding works for the final round.

Author Dy Duyen has two short stories that made it to the finals.

Some notable works include: 120 years of wandering of the Greek gray-black turtle (Dang Chuong Ngan), A oi (poem by Vu Thi Thanh Tam), The adventure of Captain Sinbad: The great war of the mermaid (Quang Thao - Comicola Studio), Going home - Children's nursery rhyme (music by Pham Tuyen - Pham Hong Tuyen), and a series of paintings by 13-year-old child artist Pham Hai Nguyen. In particular, author Dy Duyen has two works in the top 10: From the vegetable fields at Cuc Cu farm and The things you use to fill a hole .

This year's finalists list also sees the return of many familiar faces to the award such as Vu Thi Thanh Tam, Dang Chuong Ngan, Nguyen Hoang Dieu Thuy...

The final round of judging will begin on May 20 to select the main prizes, including: The Cricket Knight Grand Prize (if any) and the Cricket Aspiration prizes.

The award ceremony is scheduled to be held on June 1 in Hanoi .

Notably, this year, musician Nguyen Van Chung was honored as the award's Inspirational Ambassador.

Initiated in 2020, the De Men Children's Awards are held annually to honor artistic creations "by children" or "for children".

The prizes include: 1 Grand Prize of Cricket Knight, Cricket Aspiration prizes and some other prizes.
