On July 17, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Narcotics Crime Investigation Unit said it had transferred YouTuber Kim, 30, who is being investigated as Yoo Ah-in's accomplice in the drug scandal, to the Violent Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office.

Kim was accused of smoking marijuana during a trip to the US with Yoo Ah-in and four other acquaintances in January, a violation of the Narcotics Control Act.

During the investigation, the male YouTuber admitted to most of the charges against him. He was prosecuted without detention.
