According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will launch a new generation iPad Pro model with the M5 chip in late 2025. The device will enter mass production in the second half of next year, with China-based BYD Electronics serving as a key assembler.

The M5 chip is manufactured by TSMC based on the advanced 3nm process, promising superior performance thanks to the improved ARM architecture and System on Integrated Chip (SoIC) technology. Although not applying 2nm technology to control costs, the M5 still ensures strong performance and energy efficiency.

Launched in May 2024, the current iPad Pro version has impressed with its ultra-thin design, OLED screen and M4 chip. However, the M5 chip generation is expected to take the iPad Pro line to a new level in terms of performance as well as the ability to handle complex graphics and AI applications.

In addition to processor improvements, Apple is also said to adjust the design of the apple logo on the back of the iPad from vertical to horizontal, in line with current popular trends.

iPad Pro M5 is expected to be launched by Apple in late 2025 alongside new MacBook lines.
