Tornado causes roofs to be blown off 15 houses in Huong Tra ward
At about 10 p.m. on November 16, in Hoa Lan residential group, Huong Tra ward (formerly Tam Ngoc commune), a tornado occurred, causing heavy damage to the houses of many households.

Mr. Bui Ngoc Huy, Vice Chairman of Huong Tra Ward People's Committee, said that according to preliminary statistics, about 15 houses belonging to Solidarity Groups 2, 3 and 6 were damaged by the tornado on the evening of November 16. Of which, the most severely damaged households were concentrated in Solidarity Group 6. Fortunately, no human casualties were recorded due to the tornado.

Residents of Solidarity Group 6 said the tornado lasted only a few seconds. They were getting ready for bed when they heard a strong howling wind. At first, they thought it was the roar of a car on the road. Only when they noticed the roof had been ripped off and the metal sheets were flying did they realize it was a tornado.
The tornado lasted only a short time, but it caused many houses to lose their roofs and caused a power outage in the area. The family of Le Thi My Nga was the most severely damaged, with the entire roof blown away. Luckily, the 5 members of the family were all safe because they were sleeping in a room with a concrete ceiling.

On the morning of November 17, the militia and police of Huong Tra Ward were present at the scene to help people overcome the damage and repair their houses. The Hoa Lan residential group is coordinating with the People's Committee of Huong Tra Ward to continue to count and count the damage to have a plan to support people to soon stabilize their lives.
