Solemnly celebrated the 60th anniversary of the province's founding

President Vo Van Thuong, along with leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly, Government, and representatives of many provinces and cities across the country attended the ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Quang Ninh province (October 30, 1963 - October 30, 2023). Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State, President Vo Van Thuong sent congratulations to the Party Committee, government, army and people of Quang Ninh province on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the province's founding.

To build and develop Quang Ninh into a dynamic and comprehensive development center, an international tourism center, a marine economic center, a gateway to the key economic region of the North and the whole country, President Vo Van Thuong suggested that Quang Ninh province implement 5 groups of contents in the coming time.

In particular, regularly doing well the work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system to be truly clean and strong. Restructuring the economy is associated with strongly innovating the growth model and transforming the development method.

Attention to economic development must go hand in hand with cultural and social development, ensuring social progress and equity. Special attention must be paid to resource management and environmental protection. Building a border of peace, friendship, cooperation, stability and development.

At the same time, he emphasized that Quang Ninh province has achieved great achievements, many outstanding aspects, pioneering and breakthrough.

Over the past time, the scale of Quang Ninh's economy has continuously grown. In 2022, it reached nearly 270,000 billion VND, 103 times higher than in 1986. GRDP per capita in 2022 reached 8,291 USD, double the national average, ranking first in the Northern region.

The 60th Anniversary of Quang Ninh Province’s Founding Day was themed “Aspiration to build a model Quang Ninh, rich, beautiful, civilized and modern” with the participation of about 10,000 people, including 4,000 delegates, marching forces and 6,000 people.

After the ceremony and parade, there is the largest drum performance in Vietnam, elaborately staged with more than 600 people, with a smooth and rich combination of drum art, folk dance, dragon dance, flag dance, singing... expressing the heroic spirit of the nation.

Next, there is a special art program with consistent, coherent political ideology, high generalization and strong features about the culture, spirit and will of the people of the Mining Region through the 60-year journey of formation and development; a unique epic performance recreating the indomitable will of the people of Quang Ninh on the journey of construction and development from the Dong A spirit to the Ho Chi Minh era; a music program with proud melodies, famous songs of Quang Ninh and many newly composed songs for the 60th anniversary of the province's founding.

The program has the participation of famous domestic artists, including many artists from Quang Ninh, such as: People's Artist Quang Tho, Tung Duong, Ngoc Anh, To Minh Thang, Ho Quynh Huong, Hoang Thai... The end of the program is a combination of colorful fireworks to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Quang Ninh province .
