At the press conference, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang said that the event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day received attention and very positive responses from international delegates.
To date, more than 20 international delegations, including 3 high-level delegations, 4 delegations at ministerial level or higher, and more than 15 political parties from different continents... have confirmed their attendance at the event.
In addition, Ho Chi Minh City has also received confirmation of participation from more than 20 sister localities and many foreign individuals who have contributed to the anti-war movement against the war of aggression in Vietnam.
Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang added that for the first time, the parade included a group of exemplary overseas Vietnamese with more than 120 overseas Vietnamese delegates from more than 25 countries and territories. The overseas Vietnamese group not only included overseas Vietnamese who contributed to the struggle for national independence, but also many young intellectuals, businessmen, and artists who were invited to attend.
In addition, according to Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang, more than 140 foreign reporters registered to attend, including a number of former war correspondents and 7 overseas Vietnamese reporters from the United States and several European countries.

Laos and Cambodia military blocs expected to participate in the celebration
Regarding the commemorative activities, Vice Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy said that the National Commemoration Ceremony will be held at 6:30 a.m. on April 30, 2025 on Le Duan Street, District 1 and some central streets of the city.
The parade program, chaired by the Ministry of National Defense, includes: 4 parade blocks of the Honorary Division; 36 parade blocks; 12 parade blocks. It is expected that there will be parade blocks of Laos and Cambodia in the Celebration.
Previously, the City organized an incense offering and flower offering ceremony to commemorate the heroic martyrs at 8:00 a.m. on April 29, 2025 at the City Martyrs' Cemetery, City Cemetery (Lac Canh), Ben Duoc Memorial Temple, Cu Chi District Martyrs' Cemetery, City Policy Cemetery (Cu Chi District); National Historical Site Nga Ba Giong (Hoc Mon District).

Along with that, from April 19-30, 2024, the City will organize many activities to celebrate: The "Colors of Uncle Ho's City" Festival will be held from April 19 to April 30, 2025. The highlight is the 3D Mapping art performance at the facade of the City People's Committee headquarters, combining light, sound and symphony - choral music.
In particular, on the night of April 19, 2,000 drones performed, combined with artistic fireworks to light up the city's sky, bringing a spectacular experience to the audience.

Film exhibition "Echoes of the Great Victory of Spring 1975", with 300 precious documentary photos, community screening on the night of April 27 and 28 at Nguyen Hue - Ngo Duc Ke stage.
The special art program "National Reunification Day" was held and broadcast live nationwide at Thong Nhat Hall, District 1, on the evening of April 30, 2025.
At the same time, the City coordinated with central ministries and branches to organize art programs to celebrate: Outdoor art program "The Country is Full of Joy" on April 20, 2025 at Thong Nhat Hall.
Special concert program with the theme "Peace Symphony" on the evening of April 21, 2025 at the City Theater.
National television bridge "Forever the Triumphal Song" on April 27, 2025 at Ho Chi Minh City bridge.
A special art program chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with Ho Chi Minh City will be organized on April 29, 2025.
The brass band performance combined with horseback riding techniques hosted by the Ministry of Public Security is scheduled to take place on April 30, 2025 at Le Loi Street and Nguyen Hue Walking Street.
Regarding the special art program taking place on the evening of April 29, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Bac, Director of the Department of Performing Arts, said that the program will have about 1,000 professional and non-professional actors participating in the performance.
The program consists of 3 chapters: Chapter 1 is called "The pain of separation and the path to unification"; Chapter 2 is called "Spring of peace", Chapter 3 is called "Spring of a new era" with the participation of leading Vietnamese singers and artists.
Mr. Xuan Bac added that the program will combine with performances by young artists, idols of the youth, including artists from the programs "Anh trai say hi", "Anh trai vu ngan cong gai"...
