Lam Dong authorities verify the case of a 13-year-old girl swept away by floodwaters in Tuy Phong.

On the morning of November 2, Lam Dong province's functional forces, including the Provincial Police, the People's Procuracy of Region 14 and Tuy Phong Commune Police, worked with the family of Le Nguyen Bich Th. (born in 2012, residing in Village 2, Tuy Phong Commune) to verify the cause of the incident in which she was swept away by floodwaters.

At the same time, the working group inspected the scene at the farm of Viet Phong Phu Farm Trading Company Limited - which is believed to be related to the area where floodwaters poured - to clarify the responsibilities of related organizations and individuals.

Tuy Phong commune residents overcome flood damage

At noon of the same day, during the inspection of the flood situation in Tuy Phong commune, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi directed the police force to urgently investigate, clarify the cause of the incident, determine the specific responsibilities of the relevant parties to handle according to the law.

According to initial information, on the afternoon of November 1, there was a prolonged heavy rain in Tuy Phong commune. The amount of water from Da Ong mountain flowing down the Suoi Mang - Cay Ca canal, along with the rising water from Tan Lai stream, caused the water flow to the area of ​​​​village 2 to increase sharply and flow rapidly.

While traveling, Le Nguyen Bich Th. was unfortunately swept away by floodwaters. After many hours of searching, at 5:30 a.m. on November 2, rescuers and local people found her body about 200 meters from the accident site.
