On the afternoon of September 4, speaking with Tien Phong, Ms. Le Thi Bich Lien - Director of Lam Dong Department of Education and Training, said: On the same morning, the Department held a meeting with school principals to explain and guide the implementation of the boarding school policy for the 2025-2026 school year.
Regarding the unexpected messages from some primary schools in the former Binh Thuan province to stop providing boarding schools, Ms. Lien said the incident stemmed from the inconsistent understanding of Resolution 21 (dated August 28, 2025) of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Council. Accordingly, this resolution abolishes the old regulations of Binh Thuan and Dak Nong and applies Resolution 385 dated December 10, 2024 of the former Lam Dong Provincial People's Council.

"Some teachers in the old Binh Thuan who had never organized boarding schools according to the new regulations encountered difficulties in the collection and payment process and collection levels, leading to confusion. However, the Department has agreed on an implementation plan to ensure the rights of students and avoid disruption for parents right from the first official week of school (September 9, 2025)," said Ms. Lien.
Previously, on September 1, parents at a primary school in Phan Thiet ward (Lam Dong province) received a text message informing them: “Parents, please note that there are currently general regulations so the school only organizes 2 sessions per day. In the morning, students go to class at 7:00 a.m., and pick up their children at 10:30 a.m. to have their meals and rest at home. In the afternoon, students return to class at 1:45 p.m. and parents pick them up at 4:30 p.m. When the school organizes boarding, we will notify you later.”
After the above message, many families were confused and worried because their daily routines were disrupted and they did not have time to come up with a plan to take care of their children.
