Ly Hoang Nam lost in the semi-finals of M25 Jakarta

Indonesia's Ly Hoang Nam lost to Hiroki Moriya 3-6, 2-6, thereby stopping in the semi-finals of the M25 Jakarta 2023 tournament.

Moriya, 32, is ranked 350th in the ATP world rankings and is the fourth seed at the tournament. The Japanese player's highest ranking was 143 in January 2015, with a total prize money of nearly one million USD. Moriya's experience is considered a big challenge for number one seed Ly Hoang Nam in the semi-finals.

Moriya lost the break in the fourth game, but regained it immediately in the next game. In the seventh game, Moriya took advantage of a double fault and a self-inflicted error to gain the second break, leading 4-3. In the decisive ninth game, Ly Hoang Nam showed signs of psychological influence despite serving, losing the first set in a row and ultimately losing 3-6 in the first set.

In the second set, Hoang Nam continued to be broken in the fourth game.
