Khanh Linh said she entered the Hanoi Television Singing Contest when she was only 17 years old, very young. "The judges at that time liked epic songs with difficult techniques. The organizers said that the contestants of Hanoi Singing 2023 are citizens living in Vietnam, regardless of gender, with good health, suitable appearance, aged 18 - 32 (as of the registration date). Male singer Vu Thang Loi said that the Hanoi Television Singing Contest is always highly appreciated for its expertise.

This year, the special feature of Hanoi Singing is that after the preliminary round, the contestants will be given the opportunity by the organizing committee to fully demonstrate their abilities to the public through appropriate mass media and social media.

Each contestant will create a personal YouTube channel based on the contest's identity to post their journey to winning the championship title. Views, likes and interactions on the channel will be a basis for the organizers to evaluate and find the contestant most loved by the audience. In other words, the organizers help contestants build awareness of their role as public figures and perfect their image in front of the audience.

The organizers of the Hanoi Singing Contest also said that the contest has 1 first prize worth over 200 million VND; 3 second prizes, 6 third prizes and other consolation prizes. However, the contest has no sponsors but uses the city's budget.

People's Artist Quang Vinh, Head of the Jury of the Hanoi Singing Contest, said that Hanoi Singing Contest aims for professionalism. With the "support" of a major media agency, the winning contestants will have the opportunity to participate in major art events of the city, appearing on programs produced by Hanoi Radio and Television .

He also expects the diversity of songs about Hanoi in the contest. "Hanoi is not only about the sounds of 'clinking trains early in the morning and late at night' or the sound of 'bombs falling during the war'. Hanoi today is a dynamic, creative, integrated capital and young people will bring many new perspectives through the songs," said People's Artist Quang Vinh.
