Among them, the most prominent are the giant, ancient grapefruit trees, worth hundreds of millions of dong at Hoang Chinh's garden. Mr. Hoang Dinh Chinh said that this year he has supplied the market with more than 100 grapefruit trees worth hundreds of millions of dong, which are considered "super products" to serve the rich during Tet.

Introducing a “star” grapefruit tree, displayed right at the garden gate, Mr. Chinh affirmed that this is worthy of being a “super product”, one that can be said to be one of the most beautiful ornamental grapefruit trees in the North today.

“I estimate that this grapefruit tree is at least 100 years old because its base is very large. The tree is about 5 meters tall, has a canopy of 6 meters and currently has about 500 grapefruits on it,” he said.

Because the grapefruit tree bears so many fruits, its trunk is very sturdy, its canopy is extremely wide, looking up like a roof, Mr. Chinh named it "Family Roof".

More than 5 years ago, Mr. Chinh bought this grapefruit tree for 200 million VND. Then he brought it back to his garden and began to care for and create it for a long time. Initially, when he first bought it, it was a peach grapefruit tree. Gradually, he grafted the fruit into a Dien grapefruit. Looking up from below, hundreds of grapefruits ripened into golden yellow, looking very beautiful.

Currently, Mr. Chinh is hiring artisans to make rocks and miniature landscapes under the tree. He said this is the most expensive tree in the garden, with a price of 800 million VND.

The second most valuable is the grapefruit tree named “Homeland’s Roots”. The tree is as big as a banyan tree, with a wide canopy, green leaves, and abundant yellow fruit. To own a grapefruit tree like this is very difficult and laborious.

The tree is about 4.5 meters high and has a canopy of 4 meters. There are about 200 fruits on the tree, all of which are natural beans.

This tree is being offered for sale by Mr. Chinh for 650 million VND.
