Regarding the incident, on April 10, a representative of the Department of Insurance Management and Supervision (Ministry of Finance) said that there was an official dispatch sent to MVI Life Insurance Company Limited regarding the case where this company had signed an insurance contract with Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan (actress Ngoc Lan).

The Department of Insurance Management and Supervision requested the Company to review information on the insurance contract signed with Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan and the insurance agent's consultation process; the disclosure of information to customers when changing the investor and changing the business name in accordance with the provisions of law; customer service and care for valid insurance contracts. MVI Life Insurance Company Limited must report the results of the implementation of the above contents to the Department of Insurance Management and Supervision on April 11.

At the same time, the Department of Insurance Management and Supervision conducts inspections and supervision of the implementation of insurance agency contracts, evaluates the quality of insurance agent consultation and product introduction. Requires agents to consult, introduce, and sell insurance products, and provide complete and accurate information about insurance products of insurance companies to insurance buyers. Considers the responsibility of insurance agents in case of violations of legal provisions in performing activities authorized by insurance companies.

"The Company is requested to proactively work and resolve customer complaints and provide objective and transparent information to news agencies and newspapers about the incident," the Department of Insurance Management and Supervision stated.
