Billion-dollar Maserati MC20 and GT2 Stradale serve GT World Challenge Europe

The high-performance Maserati GT2 Stradale and the MC20 supercar were assigned safety car and race lead duties for the first time for the GT World Challenge Europe 2025 race.

At the 2025 GT World Challenge Europe, the high-performance Maserati GT2 Stradale will serve as the Safety Car, while the MC20 will be chosen as the Leading Car.

This is a collaboration between the Modena-based brand and SRO Motorsports Group. The Maserati MC20 lead car will be responsible for regulating the race during the warm-up lap.

Meanwhile, the Maserati GT2 Stradale safety car will be deployed as a safety car whenever unusual situations occur on the racetrack, such as accidents or bad weather conditions.

The Maserati GT2 Stradale Safety Car features Nero Pastello black paint and roof-mounted turn signals, while the MC20 retains its Bianco Pastello white color scheme with contrasting blue/orange accents.

The Maserati MC20 is still equipped with a 3.0L Nettuno V6 twin-turbo engine producing a maximum power of 630 horsepower and a maximum torque of 730 Nm.

The Maserati GT2 Stradale boasts a distinctive aerodynamic design and its power output has been increased to 640 horsepower. Both models utilize an 8-speed transmission and rear-wheel drive.

For the 2025 season, Maserati will also introduce a new upgrade package, the Endurance Pack, for private racing teams, which includes auxiliary lighting systems, reflective seatbelts, additional sensors, and interior UV lighting.

In the US, the Maserati MC20 starts at $243,000, and goes up to $314,000 for the high-performance GT2 Stradale version. In Vietnam, the MC20 supercar is priced from 16 billion VND.
