The conference was organized at the request of the Provincial People's Committee in Official Letter No. 1505 dated March 5, 2024, regarding social feedback and criticism on the draft plan for 10th grade admissions.

According to Official Document 1505, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to take the lead and coordinate with the Department of Education and Training to urgently organize the collection of social feedback and comments on the draft plan for 10th grade admissions in order to create consensus among the people before implementation.

According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, participating in the review conference, in addition to provincial agencies and departments, were representatives from the principals of several high schools, the parent representatives of 9th-grade students from several junior high schools, and a number of experts and managers in the field of education …

According to the draft of the new admissions plan, junior high school students entering 10th grade will switch from selection based on academic records to an entrance exam combined with an assessment of their academic performance and conduct over the four years of junior high school.
