The Ducati Desmo450 Enduro 2026 dirt bike is about to officially go on sale

Ducati has confirmed plans to produce a street-legal Desmo450 Enduro off-road motorcycle, expected to hit dealerships from July 2026.

The long-awaited Ducati Desmo450 Enduro has now been confirmed – the street-legal enduro is expected to hit showrooms from July 2026.

The 2026 Ducati Desmo450 Enduro was launched as part of a plan to “win everywhere in motorsport ,” according to rider Tony Cairoli, with the single-cylinder bike slated for a 2027 launch. But now it’s coming sooner than originally planned.

The Desmo450 Enduro uses Ducati's top-of-the-line off-road platform as its base, and features all the usual enduro bits including an 18-inch rear wheel, side stand, large 8.5-liter fuel tank (up 1.3 liters from the MX) and handguards.

Ducati's 449.6cc desmodromic engine remains, and while performance figures are yet to be confirmed, expect real-world power to be more limited than the Desmo450 MX.

Specific specs and electronics or maps have yet to be confirmed, but judging by the bike's instrument cluster, it's likely the Enduro will feature traction control and selectable power modes similar to the Desmo450 MX.

This engine will likely be mated to a conventional wide-ratio six-speed gearbox and – again based on the Desmo450 MX's specs – will likely feature a quickshifter.

Regarding the suspension of the Ducati Desmo450 MX 2026, the Showa mono fork is combined with a pair of 49mm Showa shock absorbers, fully adjustable and Kashima coating.

The suspension travel of this dirt bike has not been revealed but will be around 300mm, with the valve and spring rates set up appropriately for the fork's new role.

The pre-production bike shown at EICMA didn't come with a radiator fan, but some big-engined competitors – such as KTM's 450 EXC-F Six Days – offer fan kits as standard.

That could change come production time, especially since Ducati is likely to be one of the most premium off-roaders on sale. More details, including pricing, for the Desmo450 Enduro will be available in the coming months.
