Attending the workshop were Major General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Tung Hung - Deputy Commander , Command 86 ; Colonel Nguyen Duc Tuyen - Commander of Center 286 ; Colonel Nguyen Quoc Hoan, Political Commissar of Center 286; and many delegates, scientists , experts from academies, schools, agencies, enterprises inside and outside the army ...

In his opening speech, Colonel Nguyen Duc Tuyen emphasized: “2025 is a period of strong acceleration of national digital transformation. New technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, blockchain, and the Internet of Things are profoundly changing all fields, while also leading to more sophisticated cyber-attack threats, using AI itself to attack. “Information security is not only a technical requirement but has become a vital strategic issue for national sovereignty in cyberspace.”

This year's conference received active participation with 25 high-quality scientific research works selected for the proceedings and 11 official presentations focusing on the current situation, needs and solutions to ensure information security in the context of technological breakthroughs and digital transformation.
Speaking at the workshop, Major General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Tung Hung affirmed: “ The Government has clearly identified: Digital transformation must go hand in hand with ensuring network safety and security. Information security is a prerequisite for sustainable development and digital autonomy of the country. Protecting data is protecting digital trust and digital sovereignty of the country.”
Major General Nguyen Tung Hung emphasized : " Cyber security today is not just about defense but must move to active, smart, and automated defense. We need to promote the development of "Make in Vietnam" technology solutions to demonstrate the spirit of self-reliance and self-reliance, contributing to firmly protecting national security in the digital age."

With the presence of many leading experts and management agencies, the Southern Regional Information Security Conference 2025 is expected to not only be an academic forum but also become a practical bridge between scientific research and application deployment, promoting cooperation, technology transfer, and improving national cybersecurity capacity.
With an open, creative and responsible spirit, the workshop will be a great success, bringing many practical solutions for information security assurance and national digital transformation. Many opinions at the workshop dissected and clarified the "two-way" relationship between cybersecurity and AI; pointed out the risks of new cryptographic algorithms; proposed ways to combine LLM with testing tools to detect security vulnerabilities; shared the trend of automating open source reconnaissance using AI and warned about security risks surrounding OSINT. New generation information security operation solutions and unified infrastructure monitoring models were also introduced, opening up many suggestions for improving the capacity to protect digital systems in the context of strong digital transformation today.
