Environmental sanitation work must be strengthened to prevent disease outbreaks after the storm has passed and the flood has receded.

Phuoc Quang Kindergarten in Van Quang cluster in Tuy Phuoc Bac commune is one of the schools that was heavily affected after the storm. The building has been under construction for a long time and is now in a state of disrepair. Now, the strong winds have caused many walls to crack, making it unsafe for students.

Faced with this situation, the People's Committee of Tuy Phuoc Bac commune requested the school to move all students to the Van Quang village Cultural House for temporary study. Here, the Cultural House was divided into two classrooms, arranged for 46 children of the kindergarten and nursery classes. Teacher Huynh Le Minh - Principal of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (Quy Nhon Ward) said: "In order for students to be able to get to school on time on the first morning of the week, right after the storm, the school mobilized all staff, teachers, police, soldiers, and workers from the green tree company to clean up the school. The lighting system and wall fans in the classrooms were urgently replaced, meeting the minimum requirements for students to have a place to study."

The provincial leaders also paid attention to the damage to the door system, corrugated iron roof, and tile roof, directing the Department of Education and Training to promptly disburse funds for repairs, ensuring the teaching and learning activities of teachers and students. Immediately after the storm, teachers, students and support forces cleaned up, collected and temporarily reinforced to ensure normal learning.

The Director of the Department of Education and Training of Gia Lai province said: “Thanks to the efforts of the shock troops and the efforts of teachers, school workers and parents, since November 10, teaching and learning in schools has basically stabilized. For schools with severe damage, we temporarily arrange subject rooms or organize 2 shifts to have enough classrooms. For example, previously, grades 10, 11, and 12 studied in the morning, now grades 10 and 11 study in the morning, and grade 12 study in the afternoon.”
