While the female MC was graceful in a traditional ao dai decorated with rose motifs, her husband also wore an elegant black ao dai. They performed affectionately in front of hundreds of cheering spectators.

MC Phuong Thao said this was the first time she appeared as a model instead of an MC like usual. She accepted the invitation to perform, then convinced her husband to join because of their close relationship with the designer.

MC Phuong Thao's husband is doctor Nguyen Minh Hao Hon (currently head of the Sinus Department, ENT Hospital of Ho Chi Minh City).

After more than 15 years together, the MC couple has 2 children, 1 boy and 1 girl, both of whom have reached puberty.

“I am lucky to have a loving and understanding husband. Despite his busy work schedule, he always encourages and supports me to the best of his ability to complete everything.

He gave me feedback on each costume and performance so that I could always appear well-groomed and complete the show as best as possible," Phuong Thao told VietNamNet .

The couple is happy after many years of marriage.

For her part, MC Phuong Thao also devotes all her time and effort to building her small family, from housework, family meals, or trips that connect each member.

Phuong Thao is one of the famous MCs and announcers associated with HTV Television Station. However, she has proactively stopped working at the station for the past few years to take care of her family.

However, the female MC believes that her love and attachment to the station remains the same as in the beginning. Phuong Thao still occasionally appears in some important programs and events of the city.

Most recently, she participated in leading many performances in the art program celebrating the 50th anniversary of national reunification which took place on April 30 in Ho Chi Minh City.

“Everything in life is almost perfect for me, and I have achieved some results. What I am concerned about is how to take care of my family well, especially taking good care of my two children who are entering adulthood,” she said. The female MC has a private, simple life and limits her posting on social networks.

Phuong Thao was born in 1979, used to be a radio announcer and MC of Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV). Her name is familiar to Southern television audiences when she hosted many events and television shows such as: Vietnam Supermodel 2004 , Miss Tourism 2008 final, Golden Bell of Traditional Music, Overcoming Yourself (with Quyen Linh from 2005 to 2009)...

After 2 successful seasons held at the 100-year-old Tea Factory and Tran Bien Temple of Literature, the Vietnam Heritage Ao Dai Fest event returns to attract the attention of fashion enthusiasts.

Through the performances, the program not only honors costumes imbued with cultural and national spirit but also recognizes the contributions of designers and artisans in preserving and developing the ao dai.

This year, the ambassadors for the festival include Meritorious Artist Kim Tuyen, supermodel Vu Thu Phuong and Miss Global Vietnam 2025 - Kieu Thi Thuy Hang.

The program has the theme of Twin Masterpieces - Heritage in the heart of heritage . Based on that idea, the Organizing Committee wishes to combine the Ao Dai heritage with the ceramic heritage with installation art to create a special stage.

The event not only gives models the opportunity to spread their love for traditional costumes but also promotes the unique beauty of Vietnamese culture to friends around the world .
