Impact on urban development

The implementation of Metro Line 2 will create a fundamental change in Hanoi's public transport, reduce pressure on the central area and effectively connect new development areas in the north. The TOD model at Xuan Dinh Depot will be a reference model for other transport-oriented urban projects in the future.

The project also contributes to the preservation of urban heritage by solving the problem of underground traffic through the old quarter without affecting the traditional architectural landscape.

Xuan Dinh Depot is 11.3 hectares wide, is a maintenance, repair, and operational training center and is planned according to the traffic-oriented urban model (TOD).
