The North continues to be hot

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today (September 7), the Northern region continues to experience increased heat , with temperatures higher than yesterday, reaching over 36 degrees; but at night there is a possibility of showers and thunderstorms in some places.

The area from Nghe An to Binh Dinh, the Central Highlands and the South will have showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall of 15-30mm, some places over 70mm (rain concentrated in the afternoon and night).

During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rain can cause flooding in low-lying areas and the risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas.

The meteorological agency warns that from September 9-12, the weather in the North is likely to experience widespread thunderstorms. Thunderstorms and localized heavy rain in the Central Highlands and the South are likely to continue for many days to come.

Northwest

Cloudy, hot during the day, showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night. Light wind. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 23-26 degrees, some places below 22 degrees. Highest temperature: 32-35 degrees, some places above 35 degrees.

Northeast

Cloudy, hot during the day, showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night. Light wind. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 24-27 degrees, some mountainous areas below 24 degrees. Highest temperature: 33-36 degrees, some places above 36 degrees.

Thanh Hoa - Thua Thien Hue

Cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms; scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and at night, locally heavy rain. North to northwest wind level 2-3. Thunderstorms are likely to produce tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 24-27 degrees. Highest temperature: 30-33 degrees, some places above 33 degrees.

Da Nang to Binh Thuan

The North (Da Nang to Binh Dinh) is cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places; in the afternoon and evening, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain; the South is cloudy, sunny during the day, scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, and scattered showers and thunderstorms at night. Southwesterly winds level 2-3. There is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms.

Lowest temperature: 24-27 degrees. Highest temperature: 31-34 degrees, some places above 34 degrees.

Central Highlands

Cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms; scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, locally heavy to very heavy rain. Southwesterly winds level 2-3. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 20-23 degrees. Highest temperature: 27-30 degrees.

Southern Vietnam

Lowest temperature: 23-26 degrees. Highest temperature: 30-33 degrees, some places above 33 degrees.

Hanoi

Cloudy, hot during the day, showers and thunderstorms at night in some places. Light wind. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
