Free admission to the flower island during the 2024 Cherry Blossom Festival

Residents and tourists are given free tickets to visit Pa Khoang flower island during the Cherry Blossom Festival.

Mr. Dao Hoai Nam, Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Phu City People's Committee, said: According to the initial plan, it is expected to collect entrance fees to the flower island according to regulations. However, the management unit of the flower island owner proposed to exempt entrance fees for residents and tourists on the day of the festival. Dien Bien Phu City has reported to the province and will not collect entrance fees from residents and tourists participating in the festival on the flower island.

Free admission to the flower island helps people and tourists from all over the world have the opportunity to directly enjoy and admire the cherry blossoms and attend the festival right on the flower island with its brilliant pink color. People must pay a fee to park their cars and motorbikes before visiting the flower island because the parking area is rice fields that people have leveled and converted into a parking lot. The parking area is only used during the festival and the fee is according to regulations and is publicly listed. For the shuttle service from outside to the flower island, the transportation unit collects the fee according to regulations. During the festival, only specialized vehicles and vehicles of the festival organizing committee are allowed to move directly to the flower island.

The 2024 Cherry Blossom Festival takes place from January 12 to 14, 2024 with many exciting and experiential activities. On the flower island for 2 days (January 13 to 14), a number of exciting activities will take place such as: Vietnam - Japan cultural exchange performance; "Sa Ke - Mong Pe" wine party and "Thang Co Hotpot - Oden Hotpot"; "Dien Bien Fragrance" culinary competition... The fact that people and tourists are free to enter the flower island, visit cherry blossoms, experience and participate in activities on the festival day on the island will contribute to attracting tourists and people to the flower island; promote and introduce destinations of Dien Bien. Thereby, Pa Khoang flower island will soon become one of the attractive destinations in the tourist journey to Dien Bien.
