A profession with tuition of 3 billion VND at public school

(Dan Tri) - The highest tuition fee for training in this profession is about 3 billion VND, not including the time spent studying at a regular university to get an engineering degree.

On June 5, Vietnam Aviation Academy announced information on regular university enrollment in 2025.

In particular, the school provides information on pilot training costs only for students who have passed the entrance exam and graduated from a regular university majoring in flight management and operations.

Not counting university time, the highest tuition fee for pilot training is up to about 3 billion VND for 4 programs.

Specifically, the 3 domestic training programs include the PPL training program (60 flight hours) for 4 months with a tuition fee of 570 million VND, the ATP theory training program for 6 months with a tuition fee of 160 million VND, and the MCC and JET FAM training program for 1 month with a tuition fee of 215 million VND.

An overseas study program is CPL & IR-ME flight training which lasts from 6 to 12 months, with tuition fees ranging from 60,000 USD to 80,000 USD (about more than 1.5 billion to more than 2 billion VND).

According to information from Vietnam Aviation Academy, in 2025, the school will enroll more than 4,600 students for 13 training majors.

Methods include: Admission based on 2025 high school graduation exam scores; Admission based on 12th grade transcripts; Admission based on competency assessment test results organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University and Hanoi National University; Admission based on SAT/ACT/IB international admission certificates and direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training .

For admission by international admission certificate SAT/ACT/IB,

Calculation formula: Admission score = SAT/ACT/IB score + Bonus points + Priority points

SAT scores are calculated on a 1600 scale, ACT scores are calculated on a 36 scale, and IB scores are calculated on a 42 scale.

For the method of considering high school exam scores and considering academic records, the same group of combination codes is used for admission. The remaining methods do not have combination codes for admission.

The school's expected tuition fees for regular university majors in the 2025-2026 academic year for programs taught in Vietnamese are as follows:

Flight operations management and aviation engineering: 18.5 million VND/semester (15 credits).

Major in aviation commercial service management: If students study for an aviation staff certificate in ground service, they will pay an additional 15 million VND/course; if students study for an aviation staff certificate in flight attendants, they will pay an additional 45 million VND/course.

For the remaining majors, tuition is 15.5 million VND/semester.
