A university gives students Tet holiday 2026 until March 8, lasting 30 days

(Dan Tri) - This university will give students a 30-day Lunar New Year break in 2026, and they will not return to school until March 8, 2026.

According to the decision to issue the 2025-2026 school year schedule of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, the school will have a 4-week Lunar New Year holiday schedule for 2025.

Specifically, students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade will have Tet holiday from February 9, 2026 to March 8, 2026 (December 22, 2025 to January 21, 2026 lunar calendar).

Before the official holiday is Saturday and Sunday, this school's Tet holiday is 30 days long.

The extended Tet holiday, according to school representatives, still ensures the school's plan and curriculum for the year because the school shortens the summer vacation.

In particular, the above holiday schedule applies not only to students but also to staff, lecturers, and workers of the school. During the Tet holiday, staff, lecturers, employees, and workers of the school will keep their salaries.

For Lunar New Year 2025, some universities will give students a 1-2 month Tet holiday, such as Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, where students will have a Tet holiday lasting from 36 to 58 days depending on the facility.
