2025 storms are extreme but winter is not harsh

QNgTV- Since the beginning of the year, Vietnam has suffered 12 storms, many of which were super storms causing heavy rain, flooding and serious landslides. However, the number of cold spells this year is expected to be average, not severe.

This year, the number of cold spells is expected to be at the average level of many years, about 25-27 spells.

According to the Center for Meteorology and Climate Research, strong cold air masses will begin to appear at the earliest in late November or early December 2025.

Before that time, the cold air mainly causes chills at night and early morning. However, entering the peak of winter, the possibility of prolonged cold spells, accompanied by fog, drizzle and extreme weather is entirely possible.

Experts recommend that people should proactively update weather information, keep their bodies warm and take measures to protect their health, especially the elderly, children and outdoor workers.
