Particularly in Vung Ang ward, heavy rain caused many residential areas to be partially flooded. In particular, National Highway 12C section through Vung Ang ward was flooded about half a meter, the water flowed so fast that vehicles could not pass. In Vung Ang ward, water flooded into many households and schools. Vung Ang ward leaders said that the police force coordinated with the government and militia to be on duty at key locations, organizing the evacuation of deeply flooded households to safety. Ms. Le Thi Thu Ha, Principal of Ky Thinh Kindergarten (Vung Ang Ward), said: At around 9:30 a.m., due to heavy rain, water flooded the school, so the school asked for the opinion of the ward leaders and notified parents to pick up their children and take them home to ensure safety. “The school was flooded and the rain did not stop so we had to notify parents to come to the classroom to pick up their children to ensure safety. Some parents had to use basket boats and trucks to take their children across the flooded area,” said the principal of Ky Thinh Kindergarten.

According to the Ha Tinh Hydrometeorological Station, from the night of October 29 to the morning of October 30, the province will have rain, the plains and the southern coastal areas will have heavy to very heavy rain. It is forecasted that from the morning of October 30 to the night of October 31, the northern and western areas of Ha Tinh will have moderate rain, heavy rain, and some places will have very heavy rain; the common rainfall will be 50-100mm, some places will have over 150mm; the southern coastal plains will have heavy to very heavy rain, the rainfall will be 100-200mm, some places will have over 250mm.
