Hue City students continue to stay home from school on November 3 to avoid floods.

On November 2, the Department of Education and Training of Hue City issued an official dispatch to schools and educational institutions in the area about allowing students to stay home from school to avoid flooding.

Due to the complicated situation of floods and rains, the water level of rivers continues to rise, to ensure the safety of teachers and students, and to implement the direction of the leaders of the Hue City People's Committee, the Department of Education and Training informs the units to continue to let students stay home from school on Monday, November 3.

For some schools in the highlands that are not flooded, the school principals and center leaders proactively decide on organizing teaching and learning according to the program, reporting to the direct management agency according to regulations. Previously, the City Department of Education and Training also issued official dispatches informing students to stay home from school from October 27th until now.

The Hue City Civil Defense Command said that in the afternoon and night of November 2, the water level of the Huong River at Kim Long and the Bo River at Phu Oc is forecast to gradually increase to near alert level 3. The water level of the Truoi River, O Lau River and other rivers is at a high level, posing a risk of flooding, flash floods, landslides and mudslides.
