Health Insurance premium increase of 6% from July 1st is untrue

Regulations on health insurance premiums.

According to Social Insurance of Region XXVII (formerly known as Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance), in Clause 11, Article 1, Law No. 51/2024/QH15 on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Health Insurance, the Health Insurance contribution rate of groups of subjects participating in Health Insurance is "Maximum 6%" of the monthly salary for compulsory Social Insurance or the reference level.

However, this is the maximum contribution level as prescribed by the Law. When it is necessary to increase the contribution level to balance the Health Insurance Fund, the Government will make adjustments in stages.

Therefore, the current Health Insurance contribution rate is still 4.5% of the basic salary (VND 2,340,000/month). When there is a change in the contribution rate, the Government will issue an adjustment Decree.

Therefore, Social Insurance Region XXVII recommends that people should access information from official information channels.

Any act of intentionally posting or sharing false information with the intention of distorting the social security policies of the Party and State or appropriating people's property will be handled by the authorities according to the provisions of law.
