The sister relationship between Na Lau village and Po Chai commune was established in 2015, creating a solid legal basis for comprehensive cooperation. According to the report of Mr. Hoang Van Tung, Party Cell Secretary and Head of Na Lau village, the two sides have effectively implemented the 7 contents of the signed agreement, extensively developing exchange activities through many diverse forms.

In particular, the relationship between the two communities has been strengthened through difficult times. During the Covid-19 pandemic, when it was impossible to meet in person, the two sides maintained contact through letters and other channels of information. In 2020, when the epidemic broke out in China, the people of Na Lau village promptly provided masks to the people of Po Chai commune.

According to statistics, since establishing the sisterhood relationship, the two sides have organized more than 20 cultural, sports and economic cooperation exchange activities. Notably, on March 5, 2025, Po Chai commune invited people from Na Lau village to participate in the exchange program "Women in unity, neighbors in harmony" on the occasion of the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day.

In addition to cultural exchanges, the two sides also actively cooperate in bilateral economic development. Currently, the volume of goods exchanged through Tan Thanh - Po Chai customs clearance reaches about 3.5 million USD per year, contributing significantly to the economic development of the border area.

The authorities and people of both sides also pay special attention to ensuring security and order in the border area. According to the agreement, the two sides will coordinate to patrol and protect the border and border markers; exchange information on security and order; prevent cross-border crimes, contributing to building a peaceful and friendly border.

Currently, the two sides are actively implementing the agreement on orientations for the Van Lang (Vietnam) and Pingxiang (China) cross-border tourism cooperation zone. This project is expected to attract about 500,000 tourists each year, create more jobs for local people and promote cultural exchange between the two countries.
