The program aims to upgrade, standardize, and improve at least 180 products to achieve 3-4 stars at the district and provincial levels. Specifically, it encourages localities such as Van Ninh, Ninh Hoa, Dien Khanh, Nha Trang, and Khanh Son to have at least 2 products achieving 4 stars or higher to ensure at least 10 OCOP products are recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as achieving 4 stars, with one product achieving 5 stars for consideration and recognition by the Central Government. The total budget for the program is over 19 billion VND, of which nearly 15.8 billion VND comes from the state budget, primarily used to directly support businesses in improving and upgrading their products.
The Provincial People's Committee requests relevant departments, agencies, and localities to focus on completing the management and operation system of the OCOP Program synchronously from the provincial to the district and commune levels; apply policies uniformly to effectively implement the program; support the upgrading, consolidation, and development of products registered to participate in 2024 that have not yet achieved OCOP status, and products that have achieved OCOP 3-4 stars to participate in the product upgrade evaluation in 2025.
Furthermore, departments, sectors, and localities should focus on supporting entities in developing forms of production and business organization that increase benefits for the community, contributing to the development of the rural economy in an endogenous and value-added direction; promoting trade promotion programs and brand promotion of OCOP products; and ensuring that the evaluation of OCOP products in 2025 is carried out in the third and fourth quarters of this year...
Currently, the province has 309 OCOP products with 3 stars or higher that are still valid. Of these, 1 OCOP product has achieved 5 stars nationally; 2 products have sufficient points to be recommended for 5-star OCOP recognition by the central government; 43 products have achieved 4 stars; and 263 products have achieved 3 stars.
