On the afternoon of April 17th, in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Union organized the 2023 training conference for Vietnam Student Union officials abroad. This was the first time the conference was held online at 115 locations worldwide over a period of four days.
Delegates from locations around the world attended the conference.
According to statistics, the Vietnam Student Union currently has 28 provincial-level unions, 45 university-level unions directly under the Central Committee, and 13 unions abroad, with a total of over 1.3 million members.
Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, stated that in recent years, Vietnamese student associations abroad have matured remarkably, highlighting their role as close and reliable companions of students.
This is demonstrated through numerous movements and activities that strongly promote the intellect, enthusiasm, and pioneering spirit of students. In particular, many activities have profound ideological depth, widespread influence, and positive impact on students, contributing to the broad gathering and unity of the Vietnamese student community abroad.
2023 is the year of the Student Union Congresses at all levels, leading up to the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Student Union , term 2023-2028. Therefore, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Union is organizing a conference to provide knowledge and information about the organization of the Union and solutions for developing the "5 Good Students" movement in the international context.
Furthermore, the Conference will make a practical contribution to providing additional skills and expertise in student association work and student movements, as well as skills in organizing student association congresses at all levels, and updating information related to digital transformation in student association work and student movements.
The conference will take place online on April 17, 20, 24, and 27. At the conference, speakers will present and share key topics on student association work, office management, digital transformation, and issues impacting the student movement.
In addition, the Conference also provides an opportunity for Vietnamese Student Union officials worldwide to exchange and share difficulties and obstacles encountered in their activities; to discuss and share best practices and effective methods to help the work of the Union and the Vietnamese student movement abroad develop further.
