With an income of up to hundreds of millions of VND per year, even exceeding 600 million VND, many miners of Duong Huy Coal Company - TKV are becoming proof of the effectiveness of technological innovation, improved working environment and attractive remuneration policies. This is also one of the outstanding highlights of Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (TKV) in its efforts to retain and improve the lives of workers.
In 2024, Duong Huy Coal recorded growth exceeding the plan in many production and business indicators. Of which, underground coal mining output reached 2.5 million tons, 26,313 meters of new tunnels were dug, and profits reached 115 billion VND. That success was thanks to systematic investment in modern technology, production automation, and at the same time creating a safer and more efficient working environment for workers.
The company is operating 11 longwalls simultaneously using advanced support technology, including 2 synchronous medium and light mechanized longwalls, along with soft truss systems, chain racks, and partition frames. Diesel monorail technology, centralized control conveyors, combined tunnel digging systems, hydraulic drilling vehicles, etc. are put into synchronous operation, helping to reduce human labor and significantly increase productivity. New technology helps reduce labor, increase safety and productivity. Not only has the salary increased, but the working environment is getting better and better. We are fully equipped with protective equipment, a mine gas monitoring system, safety cameras, and timely support policies. These things make the workers feel secure in their work and more committed to their profession.”
