Exciting TikTok trend dance class attracts children

Every night, the TikTok trend dance class taught by Ngoc Quy (member of Ngoc Phuong Nam Company) is filled with music. Parents sit around watching and cheering for the children, recording every lovely moment. During the school year, the class has about 10 children aged 4 and up, and the number doubles during the summer. Ngoc Quy said that the dance class has been open for more than a year, taking place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Since most of the students are young, the movements taught do not require too much technique, but are basically for the children to feel the music, be flexible, relax, and stimulate their memory.

Modern dance has been around for a long time, and was previously mainly practiced by adults. Following the trend, dynamic dances are enjoyed by young people, including very young children. Loving it is one thing, but children's ability to concentrate for a long time is limited, so the practice process lasts about 10 minutes and children will take a break once. The dances are usually taught with popular music on TikTok, depending on the length, the time it takes for children to master will be different, practicing continuously for 2 days - 2 weeks. To increase interest, the class allows children to participate in exchanges and performances in the cultural nights organized by the Labor Culture House.

In the past, dancing was often only for the elderly, and was considered a selective form of relaxation. However, today, this form of exercise is becoming more and more youthful, suitable and attracting many different age groups to study. Ms. Nguyen Phuong Thuy (Long Xuyen City) brought her 5-year-old daughter to a new dancesport class on the first day and realized that she caught on very quickly. Ms. Thuy said that at home, her daughter loves dancing, and after researching many places, she found this class suitable for her, planning to let her study for a long time to develop her talent until she grows up.

The number of students is just enough for the teacher to guide each student carefully and correct each student in their movements and techniques. Not only do children and young people receive systematic training, but talented students are also selected to compete and demonstrate their talents in large playgrounds. Last year, students representing the Provincial Labor Culture House competed in Rach Gia City (Kien Giang Province) and brought home 1 Silver Medal and 2 Bronze Medals. This June, they continued to compete in the open competition in Can Tho City , a professional playground held in rotation among provinces in the region.

For the past 5 years, Ms. Minh Trang has been the one who has made efforts to maintain the class. From a few students at first, up to now, dancesport has received the attention of parents and children. According to Ms. Trang, dancing is not a new subject, but is now popular throughout the country, for many ages. When opening a class here, at first, parents were somewhat hesitant, but following the class over time, they found legitimate reasons to support their children to study, not only to serve the monotonous need for performance but also as a subject to develop real talents. In particular, the highlight of this subject lies in skills, musical sense, and the development of both physical strength and intelligence. Besides, dancesport also helps children to be more active, to integrate with their peers. Some shy children, after a period of practice, become happier, and communicate more comfortably with friends...

Compared to TikTok dance classes that are learned for fun and following trends, dancesport focuses on systematic skills, training flexibility, professionalism, and developing skills gradually over the years. Children are guided to learn simple steps, and at older ages, students will be able to improve little by little, focusing on body techniques, leg rotations, etc. Dancesport is a subject that combines art and sports elements. Dancesport movements are performed gracefully and attractively but are also strong and vigorous.

Dance in general is becoming a trend that helps learners release and release energy in a healthy way and train their body. By combining dance elements, the subject gives practitioners the opportunity to practice endurance as well as help the body become more flexible, supple and have a beautiful body shape.
