The announcement of the branch of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the capital Moscow and Moscow region stated: "In accordance with the federal law on counter-terrorism, after there is no longer a threat to the life, health and property and other rights of citizens protected by law, the commander of the counter-terrorism operation, the head of the branch of the Federal Security Service in the capital Moscow and Moscow region decided to abolish the anti-terrorist regime within the capital Moscow and Moscow region from 9:00 a.m. on June 26, 2023." The announcement added that the situation in the Moscow region is now stable.

Moscow Governor Andrei Vorobiev also signed a decree on June 26 to lift the anti-terrorist restrictions in the region. Meanwhile, via the social network Telegram, Moscow Mayor Serei Sobyanin announced that all anti-terrorist restrictions in the capital Moscow have been lifted, while calling on people to remain calm and trust official sources of information.
