The message was broadcast at midnight in each of Russia's 11 time zones, starting from Kamchatka and Chukotka in the Far East. Mr. Putin affirmed that in 2024, Russia has coped with the most difficult challenges and the people of this country can be completely proud of what they have done.
In 2025, Russia will celebrate the greatest event in its history - the 80th anniversary of the Victory over Nazism. On this occasion, Mr. Putin reminded that, as descendants of those who defeated fascism, all Russians will always remain faithful to the traditions and aspirations of the veterans of the Great Patriotic War. 2025 has also been declared the Year of Defenders of the Fatherland in Russia.
