The Russian Defense Ministry reported that on September 19, the Sever Group of Forces inflicted heavy losses on the 22nd, 41st and 115th Mechanized Brigades; 17th Tank Brigade; 82nd Air Assault Brigade; 1st National Guard Brigade; 129th Territorial Defense Brigade of Ukraine near the settlements of Lyubimovka, Daryino, Nikolo-Daryino, Tolsty Lug and Plekhovo in the direction of Kursk.
The group also thwarted several counterattacks by Kiev forces near the settlements of Borki, Kremyanoye, Lyubimovka and Obukhovka, the Russian Defense Ministry said at a press conference.
"As a result, the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered losses of 20 servicemen, three armored fighting vehicles and one motor vehicle. One serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was taken prisoner," the report added.
The Russian Defense Ministry also announced that the Sever Group of Forces had thwarted three Ukrainian attempts to break through the Russian border near the settlements of Novy Put, Malaya Obukhovka and Medvezhye.
"The Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered losses of 30 soldiers, two infantry fighting vehicles, one armored personnel carrier, four armored fighting vehicles and two motor vehicles," the Russian Defense Ministry report detailed.
In addition, the Ministry also reported on Russian air and artillery strikes on troop concentrations of the 21st, 22nd, 41st, 61st and 115th Mechanized Brigades; 17th Tank Brigade; 80th and 95th Air Assault Brigades; 36th Marine Brigade; 1st National Guard Brigade and 103rd and 129th Territorial Defense Brigades near the settlements of Bogdanovka, Guyevo, Daryino, Kurilovka, Kruglenkoye, Kolmakov, Kazachya Loknya, Lyubimovka, Leonidovo, Makhnovka, Mikhaylovka, Martynovka, Malaya Loknya, Novy Put, Novaya Sorochina, Novoivanovka, Obukhovka, Plekhovo, Tolsty Lug and Cherkasskaya Konopelka.
In addition, Russian forces also carried out airstrikes against the reserves of the 21st, 22nd, 41st and 115th Mechanized Brigades; 82nd Air Assault Brigade; 1st National Guard Brigade; 1004th Security Brigade and the 101st, 103rd, 106th, 107th Territorial Defense Brigades near the settlements of Atynskoye, Belovody, Verkheye Peschanoye, Glukhov, Zhuravki, Kondratovka, Kazachye, Katerinovka, Malushino, Obody, Pavlovka, Peremoga, Rechki, Shalygino and Khoten in the Sumy region of Ukraine (bordering Russia's Kursk).
"Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost more than 300 servicemen and 14 armored vehicles, including one tank, two infantry fighting vehicles, one armored personnel carrier and 10 armored fighting vehicles, as well as two artillery pieces, one mortar, two electronic warfare stations, seven vehicles. Three pontoon bridges were also destroyed by Russian fire," the Russian Defense Ministry said.
Several videos shared by Russian media show that recently, Kiev forces suffered losses in terms of human lives and equipment in the direction of Kursk.
