This is the criterion set out in the Plan for undergrounding telecommunication cables in Binh Thuan in the period 2025 - 2030, which has just been issued by the Provincial People's Committee.

The plan is implemented towards sustainable urban development, synchronous construction of urban infrastructure, including the construction of underground technical infrastructure works for common use and improving the quality of urban public services. According to the criteria, the implementation of undergrounding 100% of peripheral telecommunication cables in areas where underground telecommunication cables are required includes new investment routes, renovations, upgrades, road expansions, and sidewalks in urban areas. Or on urban routes, planning areas and relic sites, areas requiring protection, stations subject to level 4 natural disaster risks, data centers, administrative areas, etc.

In addition, it is also implemented on extra-urban routes that already have underground technical infrastructure to ensure the deployment of underground telecommunication cables. Or on routes that are required to bury telecommunication cables according to the burying plan issued by the People's Committees of localities. In addition, telecommunication and cable television enterprises are also encouraged to proactively arrange funding to bury telecommunication cables to ensure urban aesthetics, construction safety, and reduce the load on the existing pole system to contribute to improving the quality of urban technical infrastructure.
