On August 28, 1945, the Provisional Government of President Ho Chi Minh was introduced to the nation. Among the first 13 ministries and departments established were the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Social Welfare - the predecessors of the current Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.

Along with the process of development, in February 1987, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs was established to inherit and promote the functions and tasks of its predecessor ministries and agencies.

After nearly 80 years since its establishment, starting from the first two ministries and undergoing four mergers, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs has consistently carried out its tasks of employment and social security, making a significant contribution to ensuring social security and improving the lives of the people.

For the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Dak Nong province, after more than 20 years since its re-establishment (January 1, 2004), the sector has effectively performed its function of advising and assisting the Provincial People's Committee in state management of labor, wages and employment; vocational education (excluding teacher training); social insurance; occupational safety and health; war invalids and martyrs; social protection - prevention and control of social evils; children; gender equality, etc.

Congratulating the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on this special occasion, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Nong province, Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh, said that under any circumstances, despite various ups and downs, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Dak Nong province has always strived to fulfill its responsibilities. These efforts have been recognized by the Ministry, relevant agencies, and Dak Nong province.

In particular, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has made a significant contribution to social security and poverty reduction in Dak Nong province for over 20 years.

“We have every right to be proud of these achievements because we have fulfilled our mission. Although it no longer bears the name of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, the officials, civil servants, and workers of the sector will build upon the results achieved, continue to carry out social security and welfare tasks, and contribute to the development of Dak Nong province,” Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh suggested.
