Nghe An lifts sea ban, boats are allowed to set sail again after storm number 3 from this morning, July 24

On the evening of July 23, Comrade Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee signed urgent dispatch No. 7248/UBND-NN, allowing ships to set sail from 5:00 a.m. on July 24, 2025.

According to the forecast bulletin of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting: By 7:00 a.m. on July 23, 2025, the tropical depression will continue to move in the West-Southwest direction, at a speed of about 10km/h and gradually weaken into a low pressure area. The center of the tropical depression will be located at about 19.9 degrees North latitude - 104.4 degrees East longitude, in the Upper Laos region.

According to the proposal of the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention - Search and Rescue and Civil Defense in Document No. 153/VP-PCTT dated July 23, 2025 on the request to allow boats to go to sea, the Provincial People's Committee lifted the ban on boats going to sea during storm No. 3, allowing fishermen to go to sea to catch aquatic products and operate at sea from 5:00 a.m. on July 24, 2025.

However, ship and boat owners must regularly monitor weather forecasts to proactively prevent and promptly handle the worst possible situations, maintain contact with family, the Commune People's Committee and relevant units.
