Awarding scholarships to students of Xuan Loc commune |
In Xuan Loc commune (Phu Loc), the Hue Association in Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city and local authorities to organize the acceptance of the toilet project to support Xuan Loc Primary and Secondary School worth 310 million VND (businessman Le Xuan Hoang alone supported 200 million VND, Ton Dong A Joint Stock Company supported 100 million VND). At the same time, the Association awarded 20 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND (cash and 1 electric fan) to 20 students of the school.
At Thuong Lo Commune (Phu Loc), the delegation inspected the toilet constructions to support the poor in the highland communes of Phu Loc and handed over support money to households. In total, 229 poor households built hygienic toilets at a total cost of nearly 1.2 billion VND.
Responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city and joining hands to "eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", the Hue Association in Ho Chi Minh City supported 5 televisions (each worth 10 million VND) for 5 households that have just received support from the government to eliminate temporary houses in Phu Xuan district.
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Xuan Vinh, Chairman of the Hue Association in Ho Chi Minh City, with the tradition of solidarity, attachment, sharing, and the high consensus of philanthropists and businesses, the Association has joined hands to support the homeland through practical volunteer activities.
In 2024, the Association donated more than 5 billion VND, coordinated with units in the hometown to support the poor, eliminate temporary houses, build charity houses, build standard toilets, provide school milk for malnourished children; at the same time, awarded scholarships and supported poor but studious students.
