The Miss International 2023 final took place on the evening of October 26, at the Yoyogi National Stadium in Tokyo, Japan. Surpassing 72 contestants from many countries, Venezuelan beauty - Andrea Rubio was officially crowned Miss International 2023. Vietnam's representative, runner-up Phuong Nhi, only made it to the top 15, missing out on the top 7.
In the final night, the contestants went through the following competitions: National Costume Performance, Swimsuit Performance, Evening Gown Performance, Behavior Competition... The Organizing Committee selected the top 15, top 7 and the secondary awards. The jury consisted of 5 foreigners and 6 Japanese, through the behavior competition, selected the beauty queen and 4 runners-up.
This year's finals changed the format of the Q&A contest instead of the presentation, the contest also removed the on-stage swimsuit competition and used pre-recorded videos . In addition, the Best in Swimsuit award was replaced by the Miss Fitness award.
After the performances, the top 15 were named: Vietnam, Thailand, Panama, Mexico, Peru, Greece, Ivory Coast, Bolivia, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Philippines, Colombia, Hong Kong (China), Venezuela, Malaysia.
The Top 7 were named including Sofía Osío (Colombia), Andrea Rubio (Venezuela), Nicole Borromeo (Philippines), Itzía Garcia (Mexico), Supaporn Ritthipruek (Thailand), Vanessa Hayes (Bolivia), Camila Díaz (Peru).
During the interview, the Venezuelan beauty was asked what kind of person she imagined herself to be in her career in 5 years, and what she would do to achieve that. The beauty said that she would become an independent woman, working with communication and media skills and able to spread energy around the world . Andrea Rubio said that her background at Miss International would help her show women that they can absolutely achieve their dreams. At the end of the sentence, Andrea Rubio added a wish in Japanese.
In the end, 24-year-old beauty Andrea Rubio from Venezuela was crowned Miss. The first, second, third and fourth runner-ups were respectively from Colombia, Peru, the Philippines and Bolivia.
Andrea Rubio was born in 1998, 1.71m tall. The new beauty queen is currently a journalist, fashion designer and model. Andrea Rubio graduated from the Department of Audiovisual Communications and Multimedia at La Sabana University in Colombia. She can speak English and Spanish fluently.
