VTC News reported that, according to Nextshark, Amanda Nguyen will fly into space in the upcoming launch of the New Shepard rocket of the Blue Origin aerospace company. Her trip is part of the "Citizen Astronaut" program of Space for Humanity, a non-profit organization based in Denver (Colorado, USA).

The program aims to “empower each citizen astronaut to tackle global challenges with a broader perspective.”
Space for Humanity CEO Antonio Peronace hailed Amanda Nguyen’s upcoming trip as a symbol of “strength, passion and excellence,” in line with the organization’s mission to democratize space and foster global connectivity.
“Space for Humanity could not be prouder to partner with and support Amanda Nguyen’s journey into space. Her extraordinary space travel will serve as a shining example for so many others,” said Peronace.

Sharing about the upcoming space travel in collaboration with Space for Humanity, Amanda Nguyen said: "Together we are committed to changing the way we view space, people, and the future of humanity. I look forward to the upcoming space travel as well as the continued journey towards a brighter and better future."
Amanda Nguyen, 32, Vietnamese-American, graduated from Harvard University and interned at NASA in 2013. She also worked at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.
Her trip is part of the "Citizen Astronaut" program of Space for Humanity, a non-profit organization based in Denver (Colorado, USA).
In 2014, she founded RISE, a nonprofit organization that represents the rights of survivors of sexual assault across the United States. She is also known as an advocate for Asian American rights.
She was a victim of sexual assault. In her fight to protect herself, she drafted and campaigned for a bill of rights for victims like herself.
Amanda Nguyen was nominated for the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize and was named Time magazine's 2022 Woman of the Year.
Former US President Barack Obama signed Amanda's bill into law in October 2016, after it was approved by Congress .
Thanks to her tireless efforts, Amanda Nguyen was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2019 and was honored by Time magazine as Woman of the Year 2022.
"I am Vietnamese. I am flying into space so that young Vietnamese girls can see themselves among the stars. It is important that I can bring the community with me. I may be the first but I will not be the last," Amanda Nguyen shared in a video on the Facebook page of the US Embassy in Hanoi.
There is currently no specific information about the next launch of the New Shepard rocket.
