AI Assistant - a breakthrough in vocational recruitment
In 2025, among hundreds of competing communication and admissions consulting methods, Mr. Tri Nhan and his colleagues launched a virtual assistant using artificial intelligence (AI) - marking a major turning point in the application of technology in vocationaleducation at Phu Yen Vocational College.
The AI assistant is not just a mechanical chatbot, but is designed as a smart, friendly “digital friend”, always ready to answer questions from students and parents 24/7. Each conversation begins with a short four-line poem, using intimate forms of address and positive language. Admission information such as tuition fees, majors, class schedules, dormitories, scholarships, etc. are all updated, logically arranged and easy to access.
With a low maintenance cost of only 500,000 VND/month, the results are impressive: the number of visits to the fanpage and website increased significantly; 85% of surveyed students said they were satisfied and wanted to continue using it; 80% appreciated the friendly and clear communication ability of the AI assistant. In an educational environment with many technological limitations, this initiative created a significant boost, contributing to improving the school's image and increasing the rate of effective student access.
Mr. Tran Khac Tri Nhan shared about his creative topic: “In the context of increasingly competitive vocational recruitment, traditional methods of propaganda and recruitment information such as leaflets, through loudspeakers or a few lines on social networks... are not very effective, Master Phan Le Minh Tuan (Department of Training - Student Affairs) and I realized a big gap in the need to access information quickly, accurately, friendly and available 24/7 from learners and parents. That is when the idea of a virtual assistant using AI platform was formed”.
The AI assistant is integrated on the fanpage, website and through QR codes placed at admission points, making it easy for students to access. The AI assistant can provide detailed advice on majors, tuition fees, scholarship conditions, study schedules, dormitories, etc. At the same time, the system also supports analyzing illustrated exam questions, suggesting review strategies, and inspiring vocational learning through poetry and success stories.
Chain of applied, widespread and effective initiatives
The AI assistant initiative is just the tip of the iceberg in a treasure trove of creative ideas that Mr. Tri Nhan has implemented over the past 5 years - one step forward each year, each product is a practical solution closely linked to the needs of vocational schools and students. What makes Mr. Tri Nhan special is his consistency in his approach to innovation - always based on a technology platform, but aiming at human goals. Before the AI assistant initiative, he successfully implemented many highly applicable ideas. Specifically, in the 2020-2021 school year, he built a fanpage "Phu Yen Unlimited Vocational College" with attractive digital content and youthful images, helping to spread school information closer to high school students and parents. In the 2021-2022 school year, the initiative "Positive communication with words and colors" uses inspirational design techniques, vivid articles, and positive words to create positive emotions when reading admissions information. In the 2022-2023 school year, teachers create personal QR codes on student ID cards, helping students easily look up study information, timetables, attendance, and quickly connect with homeroom teachers. In the 2023-2024 school year, the "Job Portal" initiative will become a transparent bridge between students and businesses, expanding job opportunities and shortening the time to find a job after graduation...
All of the above initiatives have been recognized and ranked A at the school level, and many initiatives are being replicated in the province's vocational education system.
In addition, Mr. Tran Khac Tri Nhan won an encouragement prize at the 2021 National Vocational Education Teachers' Teaching Conference with his lecture "Observing bread mold with a microscope", demonstrating his solid pedagogical ability and innovative spirit in teaching.
Vo Thu Ly, a student of the 19th class of Intermediate Food Processing, said about her teacher: Teacher Nhan is very thoughtful, organizes many meaningful union and association activities, and inspires students' passion for research and entrepreneurship. In 2023, under his guidance, our group won the National Startup Kite Encouragement Prize with the topic "Producing seaweed juice from brown algae", aiming to exploit local resources and green product thinking.

Teacher of action and inspiration
Born in 1992 in the coastal area of Song Cau, Tran Khac Tri Nhan did not grow up in a laboratory or a modern city, but was molded by the simple working life of fishermen and farmers. It was this context that helped him to quickly absorb the value of practical learning - practical work - practice, and chose to become a vocational lecturer as a way to contribute to enhancing the value of "manual" occupations that are often overlooked.
As a lecturer specializing in Food Technology, preservation and testing of aquatic products, Mr. Nhan always innovates methods, combining theory - practice - entrepreneurial thinking so that students understand the profession, love the profession and can live with the profession.
The AI assistant developed by Tran Khac Tri Nhan is truly a comprehensive “digital assistant” for students and parents in their career choice journey. According to the survey, 85% of students rated the use of AI assistants as very useful, friendly, easy to understand, time-saving and accessible to authentic information. The AI assistant recruitment initiative is not only a technological solution, it is also a testament to creativity, dedication and innovative vision in modern vocational education.
Dr. Dang Van Lai, Principal of Phu Yen Vocational College
As a homeroom teacher, he is as close to his students as an older brother or a friend. Extracurricular activities, life skills support, student psychological care, etc. are all quietly organized by him through the WWO Life Skills Club - where students can speak and share.
Four consecutive years of being recognized as a Grassroots Emulation Fighter, and a certificate of merit from the Chairman of Phu Yen Provincial People's Committee in 2022 are worthy rewards for the young teacher's intellectual and responsible dedication.
But most importantly, it is the way students remember their teachers - not with empty words, but with respectful eyes, love and aspiration to pursue the profession that they instilled in them.
Amidst the still-conservative opinions about the position of vocational education, Tran Khac Tri Nhan's dedication and creativity are like a strong voice for modern thinking: vocational schools are not outdated if teachers know how to be creative, students know how to dream and practice a profession that is closely related to life.
Every initiative implemented, every class held, every poem started by the AI assistant... are the silent yet persistent footprints of that young teacher. It is not only an achievement, but also a manifestation of a humanistic educational philosophy: "Learn to practice - Teach to live - Create to spread".
At the age of 33, Mr. Tran Khac Tri Nhan is continuing to write the story of his career with a warm heart and a constantly moving mind. And for today's students - the technicians and skilled workers of tomorrow - he is certainly not only a teacher, but also a source of dreams.
