The film revolves around Mr. Tam, a successful jewelry businessman over 70 years old, who is tormented by the thought of giving up his passion for making Quang noodles, a family business he built with his late brother. His mental crisis causes his health to decline.
To help him recover, his niece Thao Nhi, a charismatic media director, hired Hoang Trung, an unemployed young man who once dreamed of becoming an actor, to play the role of a student who came to ask for his profession.

From a forced "play", Hoang Trung gradually became truly passionate about making Quang noodles, touched Mr. Tam's heart, and at the same time matured and found his ideal in life. The relationship between him and Thao Nhi also developed into love, until the truth was revealed, pushing them into a spiral of misunderstanding, betrayal and forgiveness.
The film also reflects family conflicts, generational differences, marriage prejudices and the desire to assert oneself. At the same time, it is a journey of healing, pursuing passion and finding inherited values – not only through assets, but also through “heart” and “virtue”.
According to director Thai Trinh, the film is a journey to preserve cultural values through Quang noodles and a message of healing. What motivated him to make this film was not simply an entertaining work, but also a bridge to convey cultural values and national traditions.

Talking about the reason for choosing to make Quang noodles, he said that Quang noodles is both a dish and a national intangible cultural heritage, a crystallization of folk knowledge, a symbol of humanity, simplicity and hospitality of Quang Nam people.
Taking on the main roles in the film are Tran Phong (as Hoang Trung) and Mi Lan (as Thao Nhi). According to director Thai Trinh, both of them not only have suitable appearances, but also show professionalism and dedication throughout the filming process.
Tran Phong said he chose to participate in this project because of its unique culinary theme. Although his father is a professional chef, Tran Phong admitted that he rarely goes into the kitchen. "I see this role as an opportunity to challenge myself, and also as a chance for me to reconnect with my family memories and values through the character's journey," Tran Phong shared.

As for Mi Lan, the role of Thao Nhi requires the actress to show many psychological layers: strong yet vulnerable, proactive yet full of inner conflicts. She also admits that this is a role with a personality similar to hers in real life.
The 38-episode series "Heir of Virtue" also features the following actors: Ngoc Thuan, Hoang Nhu My, Duong Mac Anh Quan, Ha Me Tien...
The film will air at 7:45 p.m. on SCTV14 from May 26.
