Mr. Do Minh Hoang (from Hai Duong province ) currently lives and works in Taipei, Taiwan. He said that on the evening of December 31st, people welcomed the New Year with a 6-minute fireworks display. “I wish everyone a peaceful, healthy, and happy New Year. I will arrange my time and work to return to Vietnam to visit my relatives and family soon,” Mr. Hoang said.

Everyone hopes for a year filled with happiness in 2025.

Kien Pham captured the moment fireworks lit up the sky in Tamsui District, New Taipei City, Taiwan, as the New Year approached. The man, originally from Phu Tho province, has been working in Taiwan for 11 years and always hopes for peace and happiness in the new year, wishing the same for everyone around him.

Mr. Kien and his two daughters frequently return to Vietnam on special occasions.

The photo that Kien took of the fireworks display was widely shared among Vietnamese people in Taiwan. "I'm very happy to celebrate New Year's Day here, but I'll feel homesick for Lunar New Year, missing my mother's sticky rice cakes back home."
