Through the implementation of the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", people's awareness and consumption behavior have gradually changed in prioritizing the use of Vietnamese branded products and goods.

Up to now, the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods” (launched by the Politburo in 2009) has been actively responded to by localities for more than 15 years and has brought about certain results. Through that, the preference for foreign goods of a segment of consumers has also changed, and at the same time, they have gradually shifted to prioritizing the use of high-quality Vietnamese goods.

The survey results in coastal communes and wards of Lam Dong province show that 96.7% of respondents choose domestically produced goods. In addition, 85.7% of respondents rated the quality, design and variety of domestically produced goods as no less than imported goods. Ms. Bich Phuong, living in Binh Thuan ward, Lam Dong province, said that for many years, her family has trusted and prioritized buying Vietnamese goods every time they go to supermarkets, shopping malls and convenience stores. Especially with cosmetics (laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, floor cleaner, shampoo, etc.), kitchen utensils, food and regional specialties, including fruits, imported goods have been replaced with seasonal Vietnamese fruits...

In general, most of the related enterprises are aware of the meaning and purpose of the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" implemented in the province. Because this is not only a slogan, but also a movement to encourage domestic consumers to choose domestic goods. From there, it creates opportunities for enterprises to focus on building strong brands for Vietnamese goods, improving designs to suit consumer tastes in order to expand the market, and enhance product competitiveness in the context of increasingly deep international economic integration.

Grasping the psychology and consumer trends through the campaign, in recent times, Saigon - Phan Thiet Trading and Service Company Limited (Co.opMart Phan Thiet Supermarket) has always aimed at a point of sale to stabilize the market to serve people in the area. Currently, this unit sells over 25,000 items, of which about 95% are high-quality Vietnamese goods, attracting many local customers to choose and shop every day... Meanwhile, the program of bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas, mountainous areas, and islands is regularly organized to help consumers in the locality easily access domestic products with quality and prices suitable for their income.

In the coastal area of Lam Dong alone, up to now, the province's functional sectors have coordinated to organize nearly 60 programs to bring Vietnamese goods to the countryside with the participation of about a thousand businesses. Especially in Phu Quy special zone, from 2010 to now, there have been many Vietnamese goods markets to the islands taking place regularly, in 2024 and the first half of 2025 alone, 3 markets were organized. According to Mr. Bien Tan Tai - Deputy Director of Lam Dong Department of Industry and Trade, this is a trade promotion activity of practical significance, contributing to the implementation of the Prime Minister's Directive on strengthening the implementation of the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" in the new situation...

Immediately after the merger, Lam Dong Department of Industry and Trade also set out a number of tasks for the second half of 2025 and the coming time to promote the province's socio-economic growth. Regarding trade and service development, the industry is considering exploiting and promoting the exchange of goods to expand the market, continuing to implement the program of bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas and implementing the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" to ensure practicality and effectiveness...

In addition to coordinating the organization of fairs to bring Vietnamese goods to rural areas, the functional sector also mobilizes local businesses to organize mobile sales programs. Increase the introduction of domestic products and goods with brands, quality, and reasonable prices to rural and mountainous areas to help consumers have the right awareness so that they can support and trust Vietnamese goods.
