Continuously leading helped Vietnam's number 1 female tennis player play well and win 21-13 in the first set.

In the second set, Nguyen Thuy Linh continued to play well while Ratchanok Intanon failed to show her strength. The former world No. 1 played better than in the first set, at times narrowing the gap to 2 points compared to the Vietnamese player.
