On the morning of July 29, 2024, at the National Convention Center, Hanoi, the 50th Anniversary Ceremony of Viglacera Corporation - JSC took place.
Viglacera was established in Vietnam in 1974, currently has 40 member units, more than 8,000 employees, specializing in manufacturing construction materials and investing in real estate business, investing in industrial park development.
After 50 years of operation, the Corporation has made its mark in the construction materials and real estate industry with many products that meet international standards.
\Viglacera has built and put into operation 31 industrial factories with diverse products and modern technology; including sanitary porcelain, shower faucets, fired clay tiles, to energy-saving float glass products, autoclaved concrete bricks...
In the context of fierce competition in the materials and real estate industry, Viglacera focuses on investing in green building materials, reducing carbon emissions in production, aiming towards the Government 's Net Zero target.
The company has launched energy-saving glass (LowE and Solar Control), which helps save up to 51% of electricity costs, blocks up to 79% of solar radiation, and blocks up to 99% of ultraviolet rays (UV) with high applicability in large buildings and projects.
Unburnt roof tiles and unburnt block bricks apply new technology, skipping the burning process, helping to reduce emissions during the production process but still ensuring high load-bearing capacity and durability for the works.
In 2023, Viglacera made its mark when its autoclaved aerated concrete products achieved green material certification from the Singapore Green Council.
In particular, the sintered stone teapot product manufactured at Viglacera's factory is the first product in Vietnam to be certified with the record "The largest sintered stone slab in Vietnam" with the established size of 1620mm x 3310mm.
Vasta Stone branded sintered stone is a high-end product of Viglacera, produced on the advanced Continua+ technology line of Sacmi (Italy). With many advantages compared to natural stone materials and other artificial stones, the product helps limit the exploitation of natural resources. This is a material trend that has been used for many years in European countries.
With its production capacity, Viglacera provides the market with sintered stone panels with thickness from 6 mm to 20 mm, which can be applied in a variety of projects.
In the real estate sector, Viglacera has become one of the leading prestigious real estate developers in the country with 15 industrial parks, an area of over 4,000 hectares, attracting 18 billion USD; of which foreign investment capital accounts for more than 70%, along with 18 commercial and social housing areas with synchronous technical and social infrastructure systems.
Not only making domestic investments, Viglacera has been and is one of the few enterprises with successful investments in the Cuban market; including the Ceramic Tile and Sanitary Porcelain Factory project; the Vimariel Industrial Park project in the Mariel Development Zone - Cuba, making an important contribution to the implementation of the political task of supporting Cuba's socio-economic development and consolidating and strengthening the special relationship and solidarity between Vietnam and Cuba.
Construction material products manufactured by Viglacera are currently exported to more than 40 countries and territories worldwide, including demanding, high-standard markets such as the US, UK, Germany, Italy, Korea, Taiwan and Australia.
The Corporation's total export turnover last year reached 46.3 million USD, an increase of 53%.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi emphasized: " Viglacera's activities have been actively contributing to the successful implementation of the political tasks of the construction industry and the socio-economic development of the whole country".
The Minister hopes that in the coming time, Viglacera will promote innovation, improve management efficiency, and corporate governance to meet the country's requirements in the new period; increase labor productivity and competitiveness; effectively manage and use state capital and assets, optimize state interests, in order to preserve and promote the Viglacera brand.
Viglacera General Director Nguyen Anh Tuan committed: "Viglacera's strategy in the coming period is to focus on expanding new markets; developing green product lines with advantages in the domestic market as well as promoting the export of high-value product lines, developing an environmentally friendly green product ecosystem, contributing to the goal of bringing net emissions to zero by 2050"
The production and business results have also achieved remarkable results: The parent company's pre-tax profit increased 10 times; Consolidated pre-tax profit increased nearly 3.5 times; Total consolidated assets increased about 2 times; Owner's equity according to the 2023 Consolidated Financial Statement increased more than 3 times. The total corresponding dividend amount of the State capital portion since Viglacera officially converted into a joint stock company to date has reached VND 2,165 billion.
