Long Chau Pharmacy provides medical aid to people in flood-hit areas of the Central region

(Dan Tri) - The activity was carried out to promptly support people in localities heavily affected by floods, and at the same time proactively prevent the risk of disease outbreaks after natural disasters.

On the morning of October 31, Long Chau Pharmacy System and Vaccination Center urgently mobilized 4 tons of medicine, health care products and essential medical supplies to support people in flood-affected areas in Hue, Da Nang , Hoi An and Quang Ngai.

The activity was implemented by Long Chau in coordination with local Departments of Health, aiming to promptly share difficulties with people in the Central region who are being heavily affected by prolonged floods.

Accordingly, Long Chau has transferred 1 ton of medicine and medical supplies to Hue, 2 tons to Da Nang and Hoi An, and 1 ton to Quang Ngai , to supplement the source of medicine and essential supplies for on-site health care for people.

At the same time, Long Chau also accompanied Dan Tri newspaper to donate 1,000 medicine packages to people in the Central region, contributing to overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and taking care of community health.

Each medical aid package includes cold medicine, cough medicine, diarrhea medicine, topical medicine, Cloramin B, eye drops, vitamin C, alcohol to treat ringworm, along with bandages, water disinfectant tablets and many other essential supplies.

These items help people proactively prevent diseases and protect their health in conditions of deep flooding, power outages and traffic disruption. Long Chau staff worked hard to transport medicine overnight, overcoming many landslides to promptly deliver relief goods to the most severely affected areas.

Director of Hue City Department of Health, Mr. Tran Kiem Hao, sincerely thanked FPT Long Chau Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company for timely supporting the health sector and people of Hue during the difficult period. He emphasized that this is a great source of encouragement, demonstrating the spirit of social responsibility and noble gesture of the enterprise towards the community, contributing with the government and the health sector to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and protect people's health.

Long Chau's relief activities are also part of its efforts to implement corporate social responsibility, responding to the spirit of Resolution 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo and Resolution 282/NQ-CP of the Government, aiming to care for and improve people's health and build a healthy community.

Representatives of local Health Departments expressed their gratitude and appreciation for Long Chau's proactive spirit and practical actions in accompanying the people of the Central region to soon stabilize their health and lives after the storm and flood.
