Traditional house of Trang Bang ward today
A place that preserves many war artifacts
The Trang Bang Ward Traditional House project has a construction area of 300m2 , put into operation since the beginning of 2014, on land belonging to Loc An quarter, old Trang Bang town, now Trang Bang ward.
The first impression when visiting is that in the yard of the Traditional House area, there are two American and puppet tanks on display. On the left of the Traditional House is tank number 82-0-83, which was the vehicle used by the American and puppet forces in operations to attack revolutionary bases on the battlefields of South Vietnam before April 30, 1975.
The vehicle is equipped with weapons including: a pair of M30, M50 machine guns or MG-42 machine guns. The vehicle's steel shell can block direct fire from M30 machine guns at close range. The vehicle weighs nearly 6 tons and moves at a maximum speed of 99 km/h.
Tank number 82-0-83 is displayed on the left side of the Traditional House.
To the right of the Traditional House is an M48 tank, twice as large, weighing 49.6 tons when ready for combat. This vehicle can both fight and carry 11 infantrymen.
The vehicle is equipped with a 90mm cannon as its main weapon and a 12.7mm M2 Browning machine gun as its secondary weapon. This type of vehicle was introduced to Vietnam by the US in 1965 and operated throughout the battlefields of South Vietnam, including major US-puppet operations in Tay Ninh .

Ms. Chung Thi Thu Trang, a staff member of the Trang Bang Ward Traditional House, said: "These tanks once swept through the Trang Bang area; the army and people of Trang Bang fought and captured them during the campaign to liberate Trang Bang in April 1975."
Mr. Vo Minh Chien (71 years old) - who participated in the resistance war against the US to save the country in Trang land said that he joined the Trang Bang special forces, fought and guided the artillery force of the main force to mark coordinates to capture the US - puppet base.
For Mr. Vo Minh Chien, every time he visits the Traditional House, memories of a time of arduous but heroic struggle come flooding back to his mind.
After the liberation of the South and the country's complete reunification, he joined the ward's Veterans Association. Although he was busy making a living every day, he still took time to visit Trang Bang Traditional House on holidays and Tet.
The veteran from Trang confided: “Every time I come here, so many memories of a time of arduous but heroic struggle come flooding back to my mind. The display of artifacts from the wartime at the Traditional House contributes greatly to educating the revolutionary tradition for the young generation in my homeland of Trang Bang.”
"Red address" of the young generation
Inside the Traditional House, many images, artifacts, and historical documents about the formation and development of Trang Bang district (old) through the ages are displayed.

Ms. Chung Thi Thu Trang, a tour guide at Trang Bang Ward Traditional House, said that on average, about 5,000 visitors come here every year to visit and learn about history. In years when the locality organizes big events such as the Trang Bang Sun-dried Rice Paper Festival, the number of visitors coming here to visit increases many times.

In addition to organizing exhibitions of war artifacts, the Traditional House also regularly organizes other activities such as coordinating with a number of units to organize book exhibitions, attracting hundreds of students and youth union members in the area to participate.
It can be seen that Trang Bang Traditional House is not only a place to display and preserve historical artifacts and documents, but also a "red address" to educate revolutionary traditions for today's and tomorrow's young generations./.
