On this occasion, the delegation also presented gifts to teachers and students in difficult circumstances in Tay Ninh province.
On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), on July 26, a delegation of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), the Vietnam Education Trade Union and the Vietnam Education Publishing House visited the Martyrs' Cemetery of Hill 82 Tan Bien (Tay Ninh province) and the martyrs of the Education sector who sacrificed their lives for the cause of liberating the South and unifying the country.
Attending the ceremony were Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Kim Chi; President of Vietnam Education Trade Union Nguyen Ngoc An; Vice President of Tay Ninh Provincial Labor Federation Duong Dai Loc; representatives of Tay Ninh Department of Education and Training, Education Trade Unions at all levels, teachers, students and a large number of union members and workers in the education sector in the area.
On the side of Vietnam Education Publishing House, there were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Anh, Director of Education Publishing House in Ho Chi Minh City and Mr. Pham Canh Toan, Deputy General Director of Southern Education Equipment and Books Joint Stock Company.
At the ceremony, delegates offered flowers, incense, and observed a moment of silence before the souls of martyrs, expressing deep gratitude to teachers who devoted their lives to the cause of educating people, for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
Expressing deep emotion at the noble sacrifices of teachers in the resistance war against the US to save the country, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Kim Chi affirmed: "The sacrifices of teachers are shining examples, fostering the tradition of patriotism, and are the pride of the education sector. This is the pride and motivation for today's generation to continue to strive and develop the education and training career for the future of the country."
Also on this occasion, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Vietnam Education Trade Union and the sponsor presented gifts to disadvantaged students in Tan Bien, Tay Ninh.
Vietnam Education Publishing House alone donated textbooks, notebooks and school supplies, worth a total of 42 million VND, to Tan Bien Town Middle School and Luong The Vinh High School (Tay Ninh province).
This is also one of the gratitude and origin activities on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training) - a major event of the education sector.
